No drama, but my wife has been extremely busy with work so I have been responsible for drop off and pick up for most of the time. Carpool is not too bad...but as a PSA please, please, please have your kids ready to jump out while car is kinda still moving. And also have them pay attention to where you are going to pull up and go to that spot.

There is really not a big reason for the tires to completely stop rolling on drop off.

I have a neurotic obsession with my kids being ready to get out , I am laid back in every aspect of my life except this...I have them ready to get out of the car like they are parachuting into a war zone.

Loved it when the moms who had kids right out of college pick up their kids in tennis outfits

My kids are temporarily car riders because we’re in the middle of a move and the bus to the right school doesn’t go by our current house.

As a dude who is into efficiency, I gotta give our school credit. Part of it is that the loading area is built properly to enable this, but there are 3 lanes. They line all 3 lanes up for the length of the school and load 60-70 cars at a time. Everyone moves forward together. No starting/stopping/playing on the phone. They can clear out the entire elementary school car line in less than 20 minutes.

Pretty damn impressive.

WTF does she do in carpool? You just drop the kids off and go on your way.

I remember occasionally rolling my eyes at the kid who took a full 5 minutes to get out of the car while their hot-mess mom shrieked and dug around in the backseat, but that’s about it. I agree on making sure not to be that person bc they just look like losers who can’t get their life together. But…that’s about the extent of the drama.

Tuck & Roll is the only acceptable car line drop off behavior

When I used to drive the kids to school, the only occasional problem was the dad who usually didn’t do carpool and he either disregarded the rules or did not know them - like he didn’t notice the mile long line and had to be on front

Afternoon carpool sucks, though. Luckily the kids took the bus for the last few years before we started homeschooling

So glad we moved to a nice place where the kids can ride their bikes to a neighborhood school

Some of my best memories. Me and the boys used to get to middle school an hour early everyday for some basketball. After school I'd walk home with my crush through the coulee.
