I know when we get mail from the LSU alumni association, asking for money, it does not say it’s from LSUHSC? ??

Most of us went to LSU so we could improve our station in life so our kids wouldn’t have to go to LSU

The kids can go to LSU, but they should move to Texas after graduation.

Though they both have LSU in the name, they really aren’t affiliated with each other except that they are both state institutions. My understanding is that your wife basically took an option to transfer class credit from LSU main campus into LSUHSC’s nursing program and foregoing getting a degree at LSU main campus.

Yup,

LSU and LSU Health New Orleans are two completely different schools. Part of the same university system sure, but two different schools just like say ULL and ULM.

Or University of Alabama and
UAB. Same system but entirely different schools. Both UA and LSU put their medical schools in the states largest city.

Wrong, look up the definition of alumnus. If she completed any coursework at LSU, she’s an alumnus.

The scholarship will be a fixed amount, academic merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming, full-time, Louisiana resident freshman or transfer students whose parent(s) either graduated from, or are currently employed at, LSU’s flagship campus.
