It's been fun. Y'all are some easily offended folks.

I'd be interested to see what meds the young school shooters were on or not on.
The parkland Shooter has a serious mental condition and had not been receiving any sort of medical care for it at all. When he was in high school there he received medical care and therapy through the school district

Actually, I took BABY steps in stepping down dosage. It really wasn’t nearly as difficult as I was afraid it would be.

to answer the question, i took sari's for probably close to a ten year span (prior to becoming bipolar)
i came off them when i didn't need them anymore and i was fine. i got off them using prozac because it has a really long half life and doesn't give you the brain zaps

So, what you are saying is, you took SSRI's, THEN became bi polar?
Your words, not mine.
Reaffirms what I'm saying.....some of you motherfrickers have the mental health du juor, as long as you get a fricking script for a pill to throw at it.
It's comical as hell t listen to you guys....."well my doc gave me this......my internist gave me that......my psychiatrist gave me those....."
And y'all change shite every year or so, and STILL can't cope with life and kids and a mortgage and bills and....ad nauseum

I’ve been on them since I was 18 years old. I’m 41 now. I’ve had to change several times. I’ll tell you this. I was addicted to pain pills at one time and the detox from the pain pills didn’t have shite on having to stop the SSRI’s. I was off of them for about 2 years but then all the same BS came back. I don’t mind taking what I take now cause it’s a newer med and does great. All the others either worked for a while or had side effects.

If you knew anything about the topic, you’d know that bipolar disorder can present with manic or depressive symptoms. It’s hard to distinguish bipolar and unipolar depression when you’ve only seen someone in the depressed state. Thus it’s not unusual to re-evaluate the diagnosis when a person you diagnosed with depression shows symptoms of bipolar disorder.

These threads always show who are the people with low intelligence that can't grasp simple concepts about mental health.

Or, it brings out the folks that can't deal with day to day life that millions of people have dealt with for millennia, without a body chemistry altering drug.
I work with those simpletons, daily. Thank God, I'm retiring this year.
You dopeheads keep up....us old geriatrics need that SS check to pay for our hobbies. We have the 401 and portfolio to afford the good life, but that $3000 a month SS is good for playing on the cruise.....

No they used to just round people with mental illness up in an asylum and do things like drill holes in their heads
Mental illness is not new nor non-existent
