I walked outside at around 11:00 last night in Hammond and it was an electric show to the north. I looked at the radar expecting the storms to be around Amite. I was blown away that they were all the way up in Mississippi.

Heat lightning doesn’t exist. In the summer thunderstorm cloud tops are so tall that the flash from lightning strikes can be seen for very long distances.
