I don't know about the Guard but on the Active side it would sink any chance of promotion. Although maybe that wouldn't be an issue with this guy. His chances were probably sunk before this.

It's almost as if the people at his original job wanted him as far away as possible and didn't give a flip if he died in a fiery helicopter crash.
