Born and raised there -- left in 94 -- went to OC -- bought many records, tapes (including 8 track) over the years from Music City and Audio Hideout -- worked in the old Vista Village Shopping Center -- A&P and Phil-a-Sak were the go to places for those underage alcohol runs -- AJs (Tiffanys) would always let us in too

Can only be Dr. MW or Dr. KL. Dr. W was my eye doctor for many years.

MW is my dad. KL is my uncle (mom's brother) and was my dad's partner.

ETA: if you grew up in the 60s and 70s then you probably knew my brothers.

My dad is a doctor and practiced in Opelousas from the 60s until he retired in 98.

My great grandmother was a Bourgeois, I believe Mr. Anthony's fathers sister if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to ask my dad tomorrow.

Really it's amazing. People in VP move out to go to college then come back and work in the area. While people from Opelousas move out and move out for good.

Good chance most of them work at Cameron. Amirite?

Mama's Fried Chicken is God's gift to fried chicken lovers, I've enjoyed their chicken on a regular basis for a long time now! Definitely one of the positives about Opelousas
Their burgers are legit too.

Truth.
The location in the piggly wiggly/ super one shopping center is the better of the 2 imo
