Lol my Mama is from Opelousas, my Dad is from Pennsylvania. Haha, half Yankee/half Southerner blood in me.

Lol, I don't live there anymore, we moved to Lafayette when I was ten, lived in Laffy ever since. I still go to Opelousas every now and then, my fiancee's Mom lives there. Opelousas has not progressed like Lafayette has, and has basically been stuck in a rut for a long time now. High crime rate, unemployment, a lot of abandoned, derelict buildings, you name it. What used to be a great place to live and raise a family is now the total opposite. I don't mean to bash it, I still have a lot of fond memories of Opelousas, and not everything about it is bad, but overall it's not a good situation over there.

Ibleedblackandgold... Mama's Fried Chicken is God's gift to fried chicken lovers, I've enjoyed their chicken on a regular basis for a long time now! Definitely one of the positives about Opelousas, they have one of the best fried chicken restaurants around! :-)
