The casserole things are all terrible. I don't eat any of them
All you need in green beans is some bacon and onions, same for squash. Don't screw them up with other stuff.

Not relatives but there was a teacher I worked with at my first school that after seeing in the inside of her house several of us wouldn't eat her food.

Thats the secret. You keep making the same crap every year so no one request you make anything else or help them with dinner. Kind of trashy around family but more time to enjoy the holiday without having to help with dinner
