Anybody Going To WWE AXXESS

My buddies and I are thinking of going Sunday. It's only in the morning that day. They've only announced the VIP and Premium meet-and-greets.

Wait before buying them. They are't worth it. Your local radio stations will get tons of tickets to give away, so be listening. Also, week of the event, they'll show up at random spots all over town and give the tickets away.

When Mania was held in Dallas a few years ago, I was able to score tickets for almost every session and ended up giving away all but one. You'll be able to get these for free, I'm pretty sure.

I went to this when it was in Atlanta. I hate the way they do the signings, and they let way too many people in at a time.

You will stand in line for an hour for some dude then right when it's your turn, his time is up and he's replaced by some other dude that isn't even in the same ballpark in terms of popularity.

I had a much better time at the TNA fan events I have been to.

I'm taking my son that Saturday afternoon to meet Randy Orton. Also going to WrestleCon to meet Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus, Brooke Adams, and maybe a few others. Then off to WrestleMania on Sunday.

Yeah, um, no. That's not how they do it anymore. The wrestlers are broken into 3 groups: Premium VIPs, Regular VIPs, General Admission. All of the most popular performers are VIPs of some sort, and cost more to meet. The General Admission performers are all the rest. For example, I'm taking my son to meet Randy Orton, who's a Regular VIP. At the same time, there will be plenty of General Admission level wrestlers there that we can meet as well, if we choose. They work two-hour shifts, and at WMXXX I didn't encounter any lines for a GA-level performer that were too long. The long lines are for the VIP-level ones, and if you've paid the VIP price, you are guaranteed to meet that wrestler as long as you're in line during his/her scheduled time.

I have a semi-rated story. WhenI was 15, my uncle took me to Bike week in Sturgis.
WCW had a PPV there every year, and let people in for free provided you had a motorcycle to sit on.
My uncle is a paraplegic, and had a pretty badass trike, so we went early that morning and got to park on the first row.
This was the year that Hollywood Hogan had a fued with Diamond Dallas Page, with Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone serving as their respective tag team partners.
Long story short, my uncle was always using his injury and subsequent paralysis to any advantage he could get, and he talked security into letting us go through the backstage area to leave because of the throng of people and their bikes kept us from leaving.
We were supposed to leave directly but we posted up in thw back and met pretty much every wrestler that was there along with Dennis Rodman.
They pretty much all were as cool as they could possibly be, with the exception of Goldberg and DDP.
Rodman signed a half drunken 5th of Jack Daniels, and we got autographs from everyone we met on postcards we had bought.
Paul Orndorff was the general manager, and he gave ring side seats and backstage VIP passes for Nitro the following night in Rapid City, as well as inviting us to breakfast the next morning at their hotel, where we ate with Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Mr. Wonderful among others.
I know, TLDR, but that was one of the coolest experiences a 15 year old wrestling fan coyld ever have.

Odd that you said you had a bad experience with DDP. Of all the wrestlers I've ever met, he's one of the coolest ones. Scott Hall and Scott Steiner were pricks.

He was just in a hurry to go somewhere. It wasnt a bad experience per se, he just ingratiate himself to us like almost all of the others did.
Apparently Goldberg was a former smoker, and he kinda yelled at me to get my cigarette away from him.
As you can imagine, I just about shite myself when he did that.
