Anybody else get creeped out when an Amber Alert pops up on your phone?

I find it to be an unexpectedly haunting moment.

Yea that's why I turned it off. Being in the middle of a store when 100 of them go off is creepy as shite.

Good point. Sucks because I'm on 95 right now. Still got an eye out for them but I doubt they've made it this way

A few months ago I was charging an old iPhone that I had decommissioned a few years ago to see if it still worked. An amber alert happened to be sent at the time and popped up on my old phone that I thought had been taken offline years ago. I'm no conspiracy theorist but its hard to believe we aren't being monitored vocally through our phones

An inactive phone still has emergency access. It's for alerts, and so you can call 911.

Possible. I wouldn't say anything into a cell phone that I wanted to keep secret.
