Anybody else feeling hopeless lately?

I have no idea what it is, but life has just kinda been meaningless lately. I’ve been having to do school online which has been hell (I am an in person learner through and through), Covid sanctions seem to be ramping up again and the only people I really see on a consistent basis are my family and roommates. Can’t really go see friends either due to them being back in their home states or my generation still being scared of Covid. Does anybody have any tips or anything to help get out of this rut I’m in? Didn’t wanna come off as bitchy, just needed advice. It’s been a rough year

I feel hopeless every holiday.
Idk why, but I might hate the holidays because the ex and I struggled to have kids with several miscarriages. Kids make the holidays imo.
One reason I post soo much about this damn dog.

Outside of selling shoes and clothes, not really. My dad got laid off about a month ago so I’ve been doing everything I can to save cash in the case one day I need to help out my parents

Went through a pretty bad depression about a month or so ago, as did multiple of my friends.
We’re all in our 20s and this lockdown bullshite has completely stripped us of any social life and highlighted the parts of life that suck dick.

my go-to advice for people in a funk is to set a goal (an attainable goal) and work towards that
just focus on something positive and productive

Thanks, think we will try to get her on a travel ball team in the spring. She already has a Y in her name.

Yea I felt this a few times this year. What helped me was enjoying the socialization I could....There was a core group of people that said frick this that we would host regularly, which is something we did pre-COVID so that would help make things feel normal for a night. Also, try finding a hobby that COVID can't frick with....I took up bass fishing. I'm still particularly great at it, but it puts me miles away from COVID mentally. I have learned time and time again I am not built for this COVID world so you just have to find your escapes from it. Activities that give you blocks of time where the world feels normal again

Leftists have ruined almost everything we used to love so there's a kind of emptiness and boredom that came about this year that I've never experienced so far. I'm not depressed by any means, but I'm extremely apathetic with the rest of the world's bullshite.

I was, but this new music Trisha peytas just put out from her band Sadboy2005 is giving me all these good nostalgic vibes. Most of it seems like AI generates music and just heavy sampling of older early 2000s songs but it’s still good.

Nobody can help you with the social aspect, which is just a product of the circumstances
Use the time to learn about something or how to do something. Most of your (perhaps my) generation know absolutely nothing. I won't say knowledge is power, although it might be, but knowledge and know-how will be social capital in coming decades among your peers. It'll also be of great value in navigating the self-loathing idiocy that tends to define the young, educated class.

My anxiety has been up lately. My job deal directly with Covid and then I come home to restrictions and sanctions and boredom.
We are definitely a lot more anxiety related issues. I'm anxious and will probably make more $$$ this year than ever.
Hobbies were mentioned. I am building a guitar. A LONG tedious process. I always feel better if I do anything toward that project.
