I have noticed the last couple of days that my dogs right eye has a cloudy look when the light hits it at a certain angle. It is not a definite cataract that is opaque but it just catches my attention every now an then.
I need to take him to doctor but I read about eye drops that you can get from the doctor that will cure cataracts in a couple of weeks in dogs. Is that true?

They dont cure them. They can slow down or stop the progression. The only thing that completely cures them is surgery.

Old dog eyes. That’s what our vet calls them.

Why do all of you losers come here for advice on how to live your life? Seek professional help. Take your dog to the vet; problem solved.
Old dogs and people mostly get cataracts from the sun's uv exposure. It is a natural occurrence.

Best thing to do is just cut it out and sew up the eye socket, take off a leg, and rename him “Lucky”.
