Allow me to point to El Segundo Guy's post..
This is good info for a novice and I would recommend you take note of his comments..

tobaccopipes.com sells new and Estate pipes. I don't mess with Estates personally. I don't want something some other dude was using but whatever.

I gave up smoking all-together in 02 but was really enjoying smoking my pipes at the time. I would head to the mall and hit the store called "The Tinder Box" to buy my pipe tobacco since they had many blends on hand in bulk that you could buy in any quantity you wanted.
I found pipe smoking much more enjoyable than both cigarette or cigar smoking.
My brother-in-law got into pipes and I gave him my burl bowls that he adapted his stems to and he uses them to this day.
Edited to add this: I just checked to see if "The Tinder Box" is still around that was located in the Lakeside Mall in Metairie.
The website says permanently closed, so I guess not enough business to keep it open. There's not a single Tinder Box in all of Louisiana now according to their location site.

I have several thousands of dollars of top end tobacco jarred up to age. Some that are rare and hard to get like Esoterica and some that are discontinued like Frog Morton. If you wanted samples and had a PO box or whatever I'd send you some.
Well I certainly don't want to put you out of any rare or discontinued blends but if you wanted to spare a sample or 2 of an English/Balkan Blend, I would be more than grateful.
I can post my email address and we can figure out the rest.

Sounds good. Virginias and Virginia Periques love age time. Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye flake is a great inexpensive Virginia blend that can be bought in bulk. I have some that have been jarred for 5 years. It's amazing.
An inexpensive English that can be bought bulk from smokingpipes is Father Murphy. My favorite everyday Englishs are probably Plum Pudding, Maltese Falcon and Quiet Nights.
I have a good bit of everything and would send you some for you to try. No big deal.
