If you have that many, I’d assume you’re on good terms with the local cigar shop.

Same thing happened to me during a deployment.
What steps (if any) did you take to prep them for storage?
If they were just desiccated, it might be possible but the insect damage is irreversible. The quality of both the filler and the wrappers has been severely compromised.
Even it is possible to rehab the dried ones, I don't know if it would be worth the time and effort.
Sorry I have no advice to offer, but please let us know what you discover as I'm curious to see what solution(s) are attempted and the efficacy of each.

Just put them in humidity. They will soak it in slowly. Basically like seasoning a humidor. Just get them I’m ASAP before the rapper starts fracturing.

See, this is where I goofed. I essentially refilled the distilled water in the humidor, and put them into a temp controlled storage unit with the intent to pull them back out once everything got settled. As you can see, that never happened.

I may use the bulk ones (bottom of pic) to try a couple different methods and see which works best. An adult science experiment of sorts.

I'll give it a shot. Got a few that have already fractured a bit. Seeing that is what made me start this process. I'd like to save as many as possible.

I didn’t see any beetle damage...just cracked wrappers which is to be expected. I though too much humidity and heat were what led to beetles.

Check the 4th cigar from the bottom left. Hard to see in the pic. Definitely worm-like holes, but as you mentioned - I had always been under the assumption that excessive heat was a primary contributor. Can't be what happened there.

The natural oils in the tobacco leaf has probably already evaporated off. The flavor and texture of the leaf is severely altered.
You can try to make them moist again over time in a humidor or tupperdore but they won't be the same as they were before.
Check the Cohiba for being fake and if it is, throw it out, it's full of floor sweepings. Throw out those Gurkhas too, they're trash.
Sad to see those delciious Oliva and CAO beauties (Italia and Brazilia) go out this way. And the Tempus... and brick house..
