I meant more along the lines of "never fighting" and everything is awesome since it's so new. Our marriage didn't change our day to day. We have disagreements, we sometimes gets sick of each other's shite, etc. But we work through it. We have no delusions that marriage is some easy thing. Ocean likes to make it seem like I think that way, but I'm the complete opposite.
My wife and I had a strong relationship before we got married, and it's just as strong now. Nothing magical happened when we got married. And nothing magical will make us not have bad days. But we wake up each day committed to making our marriage work. Being married is great, but just like anything in life, it requires work. It won't always be pretty, but I wouldn't change a thing about it (except for kids at some point).

I never realized being a decent human being that can keep his dick in his pants and keep a promise he made to one woman he supposedly loves was considered a regional thing?
I mean, hey if you and your wife want to be swingers, go for it....but don't try to sell it like it's the norm because of where you live at.

There are plenty of threads about shite marriages and which divorce attorney is best here. You're selectively remembering

You know you can make it easy with a certain level of single-minded stubbornness. Mrs. Midnight and I are committed to the concept that we will not seek divorce. When the time comes to end the marriage, it will be whoever gets to his/her gun first.
There's a lot of security in a mutual fear like that.

Please tell me you argue with her irl like how you do with people on here.
Must be a shitshow

My wife is smarter than most here, so it isn't necessary.

That's the key. You get it.

I often forget. Some are acting like I just murdered their dog and pissed on their lifted truck

I've not seen anyone in here getting mad at you. I've seen plenty, myself included, who are amused at your apparent naivety when it comes to how women, particularly married women, think. But I don't see anyone getting upset.

Turn the situation around. How many men do you know that would go up to their wives and say "honey I want you to go out and get fricked by some other guy. I don't want to have sex with another woman. I just enjoy the thought of you having sex with someone else"?

Every good husband has an affair or seven.

There's weirdos out there into that sort of thing. I personally don't get it. But they're out there. I'm betting my neighbor I mentioned a few pages ago thought he was one of those guys. I think he's changed his mind now though.
