Any OT ballers experienced sleep paralysis?

Watched a movie dealing with this phenomenon called, "The Nightmare".
I personally have experienced it, but only once, years back in 2006. After a class, during the afternoon, i returned to my apartment to take a nap before my next class later than evening. Time escapes me as to how long i had been asleep when i am awake? Or in some sort of trance like state? I just knew i was fricked up. I couldnt move a muscle. I could not speak or do anything but look ahead. I saw three hooded figures at the left of the base of my bed. One had a hat on and i knew they were watching me. Why? I have no idea, but i was terrified.
I woke up? Hard to say what the end was like because it was so unusual. When i could move again i called my brother who was in med school and a biologist to ask him what he thought. He made the scientific approach and not the spiritual. Said it was the brain working in a dream like state while i was half awake.
Yet, too many stories show a similar sinister pattern.
Anyone experienced anything like this?

Yep it’s a crazy feeling sending signals from your brain to your feet and no response

But really, when I sleep on my back I often have dreams where I can’t move anything but my eyes. And then of course there’s always something “trying to get me”. I try to get away but I can’t move my body.
It’s crazy because once I realize I’m in a dream, I also realize I’m trapped and there’s no way out. At this point, I’m making some weird noises and my wife wakes me up.
I don’t sleep on my back anymore unless by accident

Only a few times sleeping at night. I had the person in the room experience.
Often, if I doze off during the day, I will 'hear' people that aren't there and while being awake and cognizant of my surroundings, not be able to control my body.

I’ve never experienced it but I only remember 1-2 dreams/year. Just as screwed up is sleepwalking/pissing. A few years back I went to bed and the next thing I hear is my wife yelling at me because I was standing in one corner of the bedroom pissing all over the electronics. Same corner as our bathroom toilet is the only reason I can think of. I still don’t know how I managed to get out of that one without zapping my dick off....and the next morning I protected everything in case it happened again (it hasn’t.)

Has anyone experience either a wall of darkness or fog and not being able to move or escape from it when dreaming?

Only once. Still not sure if I was dreaming or not, but it was a horrible feeling, nonetheless. Sincerely thought I was paralyzed for about a min of just being able to move my eyes. When I could move, I jumped out of bed and scared the shite out of my wife.

Congrats on the schizophrenia

Yeah I used to get this quite often. I’d wake up but I couldn’t move anything or even open my eyelids. It’s a really strange feeling.

Other weird feeling is when you’re laying here and then start feeling larger than the room but incredibly small too.

Had it about 3-4 times, every time it was during a nap. Last one my wife was in bed awake next to me and all I could get out was a groan that caused her to shake me awake. When I woke up she was freaked out when I told her I purposely groaned that loud to have her wake me up. Worst feeling ever trying to move and can’t move anything

OT ballers don't experience anything negative EXCEPT not being able to get $5K from ATMs

I never seem to go a single year without experiencing it once or twice in that period.

Almost every day time nap as a teen. Just like waking up falling in and out of body experience. Just the coarse with a developing brain.

Ive had this happen without the terrors a couple of times. I also lucid dreamed a TON after my dad passed away - like the most realistic dreams ever. On another sleep note, I seem to always get a hot flash when napping during the day.

A few years back I imagined that there was something at the foot of the bed, but it was small so I could just see the very top of its head. Then it came around the side of the bed towards me. I tried to move and yell out, but couldn't do either. Right as it got to me, I snapped out of it. I didn't sleep well the rest of the night.
A couple weeks ago I woke up and saw two figures standing in the corner of the room. This time I managed to sit up and just instinctively starting yelling at them at the top of my lungs. After a few seconds I realized there was nothing there. Scared the shite out of my wife.

only once, and at the time I didnt even know it was a thing. It scared the crap outta me.
I was living in a townhouse with a roommate and I had fallen asleep on the living room couch. When I woke up it felt like there was someone holding me down so I couldnt move. I was laying on my stomach so I couldnt really tell at first and I thought my roommate was playing a joke on me and pushing my back down. Then I realized there wasnt anybody there, but it still felt like there were hands holding me down. Freaked out I was staring at the lightswitch hoping I could move and get to it to turn on the light and at that time I snapped out of it.
