2 kids under 2 at home with no takers from the local high schoolers we usually lean on to babysit. Sitting at home this New Years. Bought a bottle of wine, couple bottles of my wife and I’s favorite champagne, put 2 steaks on the Egg, and currently drinking by the fire pit. I honestly prefer this over the NYE party we went to last year.

Thanks, madam. It’s cold and rainy here tonight. So the usual cacophony of fireworks is basically nonexistent. I’ll be asleep soon. The dogs are already sacked out and snoring.

Not many fireworks at our new house in the land of old people. Weather was nice today though. I have always made it to midnight but go to sleep very shortly after.
