Sure. I’m open about it here because I’m just trying I show that folks like me exist in the everyday life and maybe to educate a little bit, not some fringe element from a sensationalized news media clickbait article (those exist in all walks of life). It does bother me that some people post some pretty awful things. It comes with the anonymity of a place like this and you learn to shrug it off. I’m MTF. You can click my username if you want to detailed back story.
How far into transitioning are you and how long have you known that both this is who you are and this is what you want to do? How does your family feel about it and have they accepted it? And are you younger or older?

My little brother was gay. He had been afraid to tell me for years and decided to come out to me while we were on a month long trip in Europe. I had pretty much figured it out by the time we hit Amsterdam.

the gay insults are as insulting as when you fricktards call me Mexican
Mexican are known for being hardworking family and orieinted
all very admirable traits
gays are known for being artistic and typically hardbodies
I guess it an aesthetics thing

I converted a girl to lesbianism in college. Does that afford me honorary membership? (true story, and not particularly flattering)

I came out to my wife in March 2017, my family in June of that year, my sons in 2018, publicly on 31 Mar 2019. I started my physical transition in May 2018, so roughly 20 months.
I quit smoking in July, 2017, I quit drinking cold turkey one month later. I smoked 1.5 packs a day since I was 25. I drank 14-18 beers each day, everyday nearly 8 years straight. I had drank to kill the sadness and numb any depression I had. I wasn’t going to die by my own hand (I’m still somewhat religious), so I had chosen the bottle to do it for me.
I’ve told this a couple of times on here before, but I was 7 when I knew something was different about me. I was 10 when I knew I wanted to be a girl. I was 13 when I went to the library and finally could put a name to what I was, I was 42 when I began my transition. I’m 44 now. I didn’t transition until later in life when I felt it was safe and don’t ask don’t tell was repealed (I was career Army).
My Mom and Dad are supportive, my brother and sister are incredible. They too were surprised but not shocked when I came out to them.
My sons are awesome and for them, it doesn’t phase them. They still call me Dad and that’s their right to do so.
My wife and I were to split up in 2017, I had amassed an entire apartment’s worth of stuff to move, but a couple of months before I was to leave, she asked me to start because she loved me. We take each week, one at a time. We love each other deeply, but it can be fragile at times. We’ve been together for 21 years. She’s my best friend and I’m hers. She’s not gay, so we find ourselves figuring out what that love looks like. It has changed over time. We talk about our future together often and that’s a good thing.
People asked me often “what does it feel like?”. The best way I can describe it, is to imagine the worst heartache you’ve felt, and replace the person in your thoughts with your sex. The deep down pit of your stomach and the anxiety because your body is different than what your brain is telling you. That’s what it felt like for me at least. For others if differs from person to person.

If so, that is what matters so much at the end of the day
Your skin, and you only get one shot at this life

This part of your story is pretty interesting to me. I assumed that most people in your situation didn't have a family.
I'm not at all sexually attracted to men. If my wife started looking like a man it would be damn near impossible for me to be attracted to her.
