Most of the other ones left in BR got renovated so I assume the plan was always to shut the College one down

Youcan thank atrocious planning for this. It's just not worth having to try to get in out of those shopping centers

Theft killed that Albertsons. I guess Walmarts tolerance is higher.

Now would be a smart time for the state to buy those businesses, create a service lane for College Drive and create better exit and entrance ramps for the interstate.
Just sayin’.

That’s what they are doing. A plan for a right of way and other restructuring. LINK

I doubt it’s closed for good, that Starbucks is constantly packed.
Had to be the water situation.

They need to put a ‘Closed’ sign on Baton Rouge

I hate that Starbucks, it’s a pain in the arse to get in & out of and with very little parking and no room for the drive thru.
It appears they’re building a Starbucks down Lee past the Rouses. Could be wrong but it has the look of one.

Nah. Sales wasn’t there at all. Losses didn’t help matters but sales was so poor even without theft they would have made the same call.
Source: I’m friends with the person in Albertsons corporate that was involved in that decision.

That Albertsons had a great liquor store when it was a separate building. Great selection, good prices and easy to get in and out.
