Woke up to a cold house... thought the heater was broken. Everyone in the neighborhood has the same issues .... supposedly the gas company is working to fix it

I once had a situation where the gas in my house wouldn’t work. The gas company said that when it gets super cold, there is such a high demand on the gas lines that the pressure goes down to the point where pilot lights will go out.

the local news mentioned that it could be a volume usage issue, I guess demand is greater than supply
