Well there’s the Suez Canal through Egypt, which is the historic route, but Russian sanctions from the west have fricked that up. I’m sure some is getting through there, but western shipping companies aren’t taking it. And the stronghold is very real.
The land mass they would have to cross in western China is rugged and Mountainous. Russia has been experimenting with an arctic route, but it requires ice breaking ships they do not possess to operate at scale. There are natural gas pipelines, but most of Chinas energy imports are of crude oil. And Russia invested over $50bn into that pipeline; China bought less than $5bn of natural gas from them since 2019.
China is also importing shitloads of Russian food in this manner. They don’t have the youth to go to a consumer led economy and can’t produce enough food domestically to feed their people.

From some stuff I’m reading, a Naval vessel that has a large platform and crane has been sent to the area. Safe to say that would be for recovering the balloon and array attached to it.

Can't wait until our idiots in charge plug into whatever we recover and the Chinese spyware infiltrates our whole system. I stand behind China made this look so obvious because they wanted us to shoot it down.
