My bad left Finance Mgr out - Sales yes!
The F& I Mgr is trying to make a living & is asking you to pay a profit....is that bad?

btw- do you work for free? Do you work for a company that charges a fee allowing you to earn a salary? What is wrong with the car business making a profit?

I knew a guy that sold cars for a while and he worked on a deal for like two weeks and ended up selling the car and got a commission check for $100.

1. If I told you a salesman that worked for me made $30-$40k every month, would that help?

2. If I told you the top salesman I ever worked with made $75K one month....would you believe me?

Well, it’s all true. The car biz at one time was a lot of fun & we made great money. Like everything times have changed, but it was good at one time.

I think most people have a problem with them being shady about it, not them making a profit.

Left the car biz in 2013. Not working those hrs & putting up with the Retail Customer for crumbs.

So if Walmart makes 40% profit on a Apple, and the Audi dealership makes 2% on a A5, your okay with Walmart’s profit?

What’s the better buy? A lower trim optioned out or a higher trim with no options? Not much of a price difference.

Happy to help - not sure if I follow the question. Are you talking Trim Level? SLE vs SLT for instance?

Ok- The new car buyer pays the “ premium “
The used car buyer is buying Year, Model & miles. Trim level on a used car other than Nav typically make zero value difference.

Corvette C8’s 12-18 Month waiting list...all pre-sold.

Very loose question? Be more specific

Walmart doesn't openly try to screw me unless I argue with them for a few hours.

For example are Hondas the easiest cars to sell?

Neither will a car dealership. Walmart has a price - zip zip you pay it. Every dealership in the country by law has a MARONEY LABEL on the window with a price. As we say in the car biz STICKER IS QUICKER, pay the sticker like you do at Walmart. We are not trying to screw anyone, only trying to feed our families.

Would you pay $40 for a 8' HDMI at walmart or $1 or monoprice?

Walmart is trying to screw you, obviously.

Only they didn't lobby the legislature to make buying off monoprice illegal like the car lobby has done.

Instead you make me go in your stale smoke smelling office to fight you down to a price that you should have taken to begin with.

Let me ask you this question. Honda has 3 dealerships in the BR area, Every one maybe 15-20 minutes from each other. So, very competitive. On NEW cars I can guarantee the avg commission is $100 - $150 plus volume bonuses. Used cars is where the “ salesman “ money still is made.

So are we. Every dollar we save allows us to feed our family. My family is more important to me than your family is to me. If I walk out of a dealership and they made $100, then I am fine with that. There are a lot of people that don’t know how to negotiate with a car dealership, so you can feed your family with those idiots.
