It's definitely either this or that marketers are trying to hit multiple demographics instead of one. I just can't figure out which one it is since they're both equally reasonable explanations.

Tell you what, you pick a show and/or channel, and I will record several hours of it and generate some data. I will upload a video to youtube skipping the program and just jumping to each commercial and record the following details:
1. Whether people were featured in the ad
2. If people, whether one or more couples were featured
3. If couples, whether the couple(s) were interracial and/or gay
Where would you like to set the over/under on % of "agenda-pushing" spots?

It isn't an agenda. I assure you Walmart doesn't give a shite about interracial couples.. It is about hitting each ethnicity evenly/making everyone happy so that you can get back to your real concern: making more money.
They have been mixing a black girl, asian girl, and white girl together in commercials and advertisements for as long as I've been alive. This isn't totally new.
