Congrats. Looks awesome on that strap. I have a Sinn 104 on the way that I hope is as versatile.

Already took off the bracelet for the rest of the summer and put on the OEM gator strap w/ deployant clasp. I'll put the bracelet back on when it cools off a little.
If you'll allow me to give you some advice. Bracelets are for summer. You put that strap on for a full summer in Louisiana heat and eventually it's going to start stinking and ruin the strap. The general rule is straps in the winter, bracelets in the summer.

I've always favored straps in the hottest part of the year. I don't take the bracelets off of my Rolexes (primarily because the oyster bracelet is for my money the most comfortable watch bracelet there is), so I have those when I want a bracelet watch, in fact my collection is heavy on bracelet watches, so I like having some I wear on strap.

What you are doing is backwards to most of us who wear high end watches but I'm all in favor of doing what you like and enjoying the experience how you want to enjoy it. But when that thing gets stinky, put it in the freezer for 2 weeks

Ended up with a cal. 3861 Speedy Moonwatch in the Hesalite version. Already took off the bracelet for the rest of the summer and put on the OEM gator strap w/ deployant clasp. I'll put the bracelet back on when it cools off a little.
I get where you're coming from about not wanting a heavy metal bracelet for summer, but you're going to sweat hard into that leather. You might want to get outside of OEM for summer straps. High spec rubber, braided nylon, etc, have all come a long way in the last decade or so.

I used to really want a speedy but have come to the conclusion I’m too lazy for a manual wind

Honestly, I have drawers full of straps (all kinds of OEM, cheap, expensive, leather, silicone, rubber, sailcloth, elastic MN straps, NATOs, Zulus, etc you name it) and I'm not out sweating my arse off with this watch on. I work inside and don't play tennis, run or workout in a mechanical watch, so it really doesn't come into play. My thing is that most watch bracelets get a little sticky on my arm in the heat, though honestly its not that big of a deal. It makes very little difference if you have a bracelet that has a GlideLock or an Ez-link, but tis Speedy doesn't have it - it has the original clasp for this model that only has the two hole spring bar micro-adjustment on the clasp that has since been replaced with a slightly longer clasp with a too-position quick micro adjustment feature for on the fly adjustment. I am going to retrofit that part, but it is currently on back order, or so I was told at the Dallas Omega Boutique, and have been too lazy to look for one on the secondary market. I had no idea I was gonna light the OT watch community on fire with that choice, lol.
Anyway, my current accumulation is very heavy on bracelet watches due to my propensity for a certain brand that happens to have the best bracelet(s), in my opinion. And the bracelet on this watch is nice (definitely nice for Omega), but it has a very pronounced taper going down to 15 mm at the clasp. I think I liked it better when I saw it in the shop as opposed to wearing it a few days. Again, my problem is that I am perhaps spoiled by Oyster bracelets which I love.

So the Omega boutique in downtown NYC said the same to me a couple months ago re back order , BUT I went by the 5th ave boutique to have an adjustment done one day and they said it does not fit the bracelet. I pushed on that to double confirm given the conflicting info, and the guy at 5th ave said there was something different that required a bracelet change rather than just the clasp.
I trust the 5th ave location more — the tend to have more knowledgeable people and seem to have a real workshop on location.

You really have to spoon fed the folks in these shops sometimes, lol. Here is the PN that I have witnessed plug and play compatibility with my own eyes (not my watch):
Update (17/5/2023): The upgrade kit is now available using part number: 117Z017553 (it includes the quick-adjustment clasp, and all the required parts to mount it to your existing bracelet).
I just threw the bracelet back on (mostly because I can't resist the urge to eff around with stuff) and I'm gonna give it a few days. Almost has a bit of a Jubilee feel to it, though not quite as refined, especially compared to the newer Super Jubilee. looking at it right now maybe the taper doesn't bother me so much (and to think the relative lack of taper in the previous version was a negative to me - no, I'm not hard to please or anything).
Have this on the winder that can satisfy my black dial/black gator need (even if it is summer, lol)

Fair, not going to argue that point, and good to hear. Some of the watch sales people are shockingly unknowledgeable at times.

Yep, no point in arguing, won't get you anywhere. Maybe rolling up with a PN with get you somewhere. To be clear, it is a whole new clasp, that attaches by screw to one end of the bracelet and pin to the other. It is several mm longer and looks better if you ask me.
And, I have to remind myself it is unfair to expect all the folks that work there to be as interested in watches as a hobbyist is, but I do like them to at least go the extra mile to give out accurate info.
