LOL! Yep I'm ignorant! I've owned multiple homes in my life. My mother was an agent for almost 40 years. My former neighbor and good friend, has an insurance agency. I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Just don't tell them that you have one, then watch and see what happens when it bites someone, kills your neighbors dog/cat, chases a kid on bike and he/she wrecks and skins their knee. They will file a claim, your insurance will not cover it, and the victim will sue the shite out of you.

Someone else in this thread has already posted the statistics on dog bites by breed. Pits account for more than ALL OTHER BREEDS combined.
Have you ever wondered why that is? Going by your logic, pits tend to have really shitty owners - moreso than other breeds. They apparently suffer neglect more than other breeds.
Why is that? It can't all be the owners' fault, except for the fact that they decided to get four-legged killing machines as pets.
You want pits? OK, but don't come crying to any of us the day one of them snaps and costs you 10s of thousands of dollars in medical bills.
