This freeway has been a parking lot since the I-85 bridge collapse, sometimes all day long.

And then you get the people who rear end one another in 5 mph traffic so no major damage and car is easily drivable, yet instead of pulling over to the shoulder till police eventually arrive they just sit there with their hazard lights on using their phones.

They are on the phone with Ken Nugent. "Turn your wreck into a check ".

Around Atlanta it is not hard to spot whether or not the driver that is not at fault will steer and clear or "waits on the ambulance ".

Underground gas leak caused buckle.

My sources indicate that it wasn't a gas leak, but rather drilling for a new underground gas line that fricked up.

Definitely gas line related in any case, AGL said as much that it involved a contractor on the AJC article.

At least you don't seemed to have had a suicidal guy dawdling on an overpass lately, seemed like that happened more than once when I lived there the last time.

Georgia state law says they must pull off the road if possible.

Signs are posted.

A buddy that I grew up with is working out there around the clock doing the electrical, my daughters boyfriend works for the same company. Lots of guys out of our local doing the mechanical. Nobody has mentioned not opening in time but given the way that they are working, I could see that as a possibility.
