Another BR house fire 4 dead

Old screw in fuses that people will replace a 20 amp fuse with one that is 30 or 40 (or even worse is put a penny behind the fuse) while trying to run multiple heaters. That will turn a piece of #12 wire into a very long fusible link.

Old home, poor part of town. Happened in the early hours when everyone asleep. Likely no smoke detectors in the house to wake people up before the smoke overwhelmed them.

and good reliable safe ceramic propane heaters are cheap

this was the case for the mom and 2 girls who died in Zachary. Red Cross is supposedly giving smoke detectors away right now. Sad deal.
