We have already had one Great War with the aliens 40,000 years ago. Mankind used to be far more advanced and we were very strong in this galaxy. Our species was like Bama strong. On top. After the war we entered a dark age and are just now beginning to emerge. The aliens want a rematch.

What if the advanced civilization is us? Somewhere a planet of green, lizard looking cavemen have seen our satellites and are making movies about these terrifying beings with human characteristics who will soon destroy their planet.

Do you think the aliens people claim to see are the best and brightest of the species? Seems like they are always superior beings in the movies. Is there a bunch of obese, lazy, tattooed redneck aliens back home waiting to hear about life on other planets?

If a civilization has the ability to super travel the universe almost instantly they'd be so far ahead of us we'd be like monkeys to them.
It was probably one guy that helped the Egyptians. He was the Jane Goodall of his civilization and he's still made fun of for living on a dirt planet with a bunch of stupid apes.
