Depends on where you hunt....it probably rained a couple of inches with this thunderstorm.

not really... at this point I expect severe weather around Christmas

2 of the 3 I’ve witnessed were in a duck blind on catahoula lake. Area is like a mini tornado alley.

What lends to this area being a mini tornado alley?

Wouldn't be Christmas without a couple of severe warnings along the gulf coast.
Got an interesting pattern for the eastern US going into the heart of January too.

quite warm and humid weather right in front of strong cold fronts
ETA: it was like 70 degrees down here today
and tomorrow night it's going to be almost freezing

I get that but so does south Louisiana and Baton Rouge area and yet they get way less tornadoes than this area

We get a lot of shear in the fall to spring, makes things really spinny. The instability isn't typically like the plains but with the warm air supply from the gulf you can get enough to take advantage of the spin.
You can get some sneaky strong low level instability (rising air) near and south of warm fronts. Nashville back in March was a good example. High shear and modest instability but all of it was loaded near the ground along the warm front.

Sorry - trying to figure out if eggnog tastes better with rum or whiskey
And I wanted to see what was going on with the weather - and there are always some really good weather observations on this board
