Annoying conversations

Anyone else get annoyed when somone says 'does that make sense?' while trying to make a point..... I sometimes feel they ask the question because whatever it is they are trying to say doesn't make sense in their own head
Similarly, what about when somone says 'right' as if to answer a question that the speaker assumes the audience is in agreement with: "we're going to start by heating the pan, right?... Then we're going to sear the meat....." I feel like this is condescending
This annoy anyone else? Or do I need some sleep??

"Have I ever shown you my grandkids?"
When I was a young buck entering the professional world I would get cornered by the older employee who just figured out how to take pictures of everything with their phone and has to tell you all about their grandkids and what their son and daughter-in-law did on vacation, etc. I learned quickly to answer this question with, "Yes you did!" and avoid getting trapped into a coffee breath boring conversation that seems to take hours to end.

I'm just generally annoyed when anyone tries to force a conversation with me.
Little things like you mentioned don't annoy me.
But face it, most people are lonely, want conversation and acceptance.

I hate being talked down to, but I'm pretty sure everyone does..
Had a guy a few years younger than me thank me for coming to a meeting prepared the other day... Was the first time he had ever been invited to attend the meeting and he has no clue where the figures I'm presenting even originated. Didn't like the guy before that so he isn't helping his cause..
