Anderson Cooper / Vanderbilt Fun Fact

At Yale, Vanderbilt Hall is home to the Vanderbilt Suite, the most extravagent "dorm room" on campus. The Vanderbilt Suite is usually reserved for Vaderbilt heirs if any are enrolled at Yale (ie. Anderson Cooper).
Ornate paneling runs the perimeter of the common room, only broken up by a bay window that overlooks Old Campus’s central walkway. A large chandelier, suspended from a molded ceiling, casts a warm glow over the common area. The fireplace, though no longer in use, is no less beautiful: sculpted from red marble, it features a fleur-de-lis pattern on its interior.
Three different colors of stained wood create attention-grabbing patterns in the flooring.
When Anderson Cooper enrolled at Yale, he shunned the Vanderbilt Suite so that he could experience Yale with the "normal" students in Trumball Hall. He didn't want a privileged experience at Yale simply due to his family ancestry.
Who took Anderson Cooper's spot in the Vanderbilt Suite?
Paul Giamatti

Just like my reply in the other thread
That's a laughable fricking statement

I want to experience college like every regular kid, no privileges.
So, I will attend, if not the most privileged, the 2nd most privileged/exclusive university in the world....

Well.. look who Paul's dad was though

His father, Angelo Bartlett Giamatti, was a Yale University professor who later became president of the university, and commissioner of Major League Baseball.

I think you missed his intention. His intention was to make his Yale experience as normal as possible without assuming the privileges granted to him just because he's a Vanderbilt.

Heart attack or Mob hit?

Vanderbilt Hall is home to the Vanderbilt Suite; amongst the Suite's former residents is Anderson Cooper, great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt II, although Cooper was actually a member of Trumbull College, which housed its freshmen there at the time.

I'll be damned.
I'm sure PG was a shoe-in anyway considering his dad was the president of the university.

Does the person staying in that dorm room have to perform the triple lindy?
