Well hell, next time your neighbor has someone doing their lawn, have them come over and do yours for free....they are just right next door, 15 feet away right?

Should be grateful to have cable. Literally got quoted today from cox for $65k to run it to my house.
$65,000? Is that U.S. Dollars?
Seems like a rather high quote.
I will do it for half that price!
Just let me know.

I tweeted something like "Great! Fox just went out, I hope @Cox has this problem fixed before the LSU game" and within a minute I got a response saying they are looking into it and it will be fixed as soon as possible.
Do you honestly think the cable came back on quicker because of your tweet?
Man, you really are stupid. Everyone is correct about you being an idiot..

quote:Beginning of August, a tree in my yard fell (healthy, but the ground was waterlogged and it just fell over). Took out my powerline, electricity post, and incidentally both my and my neighbor's cable lines.
An hour ago, a Cox truck pulls up and commences to reconnect my neighbors wire, I figured they would reconnect mine at the same time. They refused to reconnect my wire because they did not have a workforce. I told the guy 'come on man", my wire at the corner of my house is 15 feet away from where my neighbors wire is connected on the corner of his house, and they go across the street and connect to the same spot on the utility pole. They refused to reconnect
my line even though they were 15 feet away from it.
Getting Cox out to rehook, I had called and had a 3pm appointment. Neighbor called and had a 5pm, I told him I'd get my guy to reconnect his too. The lines ran parallel to each other, mere ft away from each other.
So, my guy doesn't come, Cox says they're running behind.
At 5:30 a truck arrives, FOR THE NEIGHBOR. I called again, they again state mine is running behind... asked them why the frick is the neighbor's guy on time? No answer.
He refused to hook me up.
My guy came just as the other guy was packing up to leave, and gave him the dirtiest look I've seen in awhile. Apparently he was delayed, so someone else took "a job", but skipped me; took the "later job".
