Amount of people driving with no ID

Watching this Live:PD marathon and 95% of the people they pull over or encounter don't have ID. I never leave home without my wallet and if for some chance I do, I immediately turn around to get it. Are there that many people driving with no licenses?

People that don't carry their license and insurance cards with them at all times are morons

You would be surprised how many people never get one and drive around their entire lives. These people are generally the ones committing crimes like the ones you see on LivePD

Most people do.. but the kind of trash they encounter on Live PD are the types of people who are irresponsible and wouldn't have ID and drive anyway.
I'm guessing Live PD isn't 100% live and the people in the control room make sure there is some sort offense being committed beyond a regular traffic stop.
And the people who drive while under the influence probably aren't the most responsible people and would be more likely to be driving without an ID.

I always carry my license.
I don't carry an insurance card anymore. If I need to I'll just pull it up on my phone

Most of those trashy people either never bother to get any ID to begin with, got their license suspended, or lost it in jail and never bother to get a new one. Why pay for a new ID when you can put that money towards some meth?

Most criminals have lost their ID at some point for a crime and don't really care. Most lie, because they don't want the cop to run their ID and see warrants.

They do show taped stops from earlier in the week but for the most part they do seem live, with some type of 5-7 second delay so they can bleep bad words and certain information. Many stops result in warnings or a ticket for weed. Based on what I've seen from the show the cops definitely have a good idea who to pull over.
