Prescribers. Any issues with folks in your experience?
Patients. Any issues? Swelling, anxiety, palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, flushing, or heart attack? Lol.
I am a nurse and have given this med more than I can recall. But those I see are sick as shite and on a million other things?
Age: 42
Weight: 255
Height: 6'1"
BP Today: 145/95. It has been here for a few visits. I get a 138/80 at work once in a while but I am textbook beginning of high for the most part.

I'm not a gynecologist, but I'll take a look anyway.

And you come to the OT for consultation.

I've been on amlodipine which is generic for exforge for about 7 years. I've had zero issues.

It is a first line drug to treat hypertension. Can cause swelling. It is a drug in one of four classes used as initial treatment of hypertension. Fairly common drug. I think you'll make it

been on it for 3 yrs 38yrs old. no side effects other than my BP coming down to a more reasonable 120/75, where before it was more like 185/115.

My wife's grandfather took it until he passed in June. It's suppose to widen blood vessels. He started taking it after he had stints put in his neck. But he was 84

Nope. Exforge is a combination ARB/amlodipine.

You can get amplodipine free at Publix pharmacies. At least here in Florida you can.
Yeah, it sucks to take any drug that doesn't give you a kick, but the way I look at it is, taking amlodipine allows you to take other drugs that do provide a kick. Like Norco, percocet, hycodan, etc.

Likely... Have some freaking discipline and stop using an Rx as the easy way out.

Yes. As mentioned on many of these advice threads, the OT has everybody. The area I work (ER) is different. People come in in horrendous shape with BPs and co-Morbities that make mine look silly.
There are probably GPs, pharmacists, cardiologists among others on this site. Along with a large population of people who are on this med. hence me bringing my question here. My doc will talk to me, but come on. He is busy. He's not going to hold my pud for an hour and break down stats and research papers with me. My pharmacy will hand me the insert and I can talk to a flustered overworked pharmacist who will read the same shite to me. All to tell me to ask my doctor.

Norco is the tits
Sure is. And that's one of the reasons I take amlodipine--so I can load up on Norco.
Plus, like I said, the shite is free at Publix. The amlodipine I mean.

Change your diet, start a exercise program and lose about 60 or 70 pounds and you probably wont need it.

Your dick will stop working, but its not like you are using it anyway.

The ER is where I got hooked up with the amlodipine and the other shite a couple weeks ago. I wound up in the CCU, had tests done by a card, the whole 9 yards. The guy spent 45 minutes with me talking about my test results.
So I get free amlodinpine and some other shite from these people--but what about the Norco and percocet I demanded? No dice.
frick those people.
