Did anyone here ever take organic chemistry, and get overcome by toxic fumes? I remember one class where we were to synthesize acetyl salicylic acid (a crude "aspirin") from raw materials. I recall the first step involved nitrobenzene, which had a pleasant, sweet odor. I had a terrific headache overnight from the vapors of this chemical, and was nauseous.

Wait till you start work in a petroleum testing lab. Takes a few weeks to get use to it. Oh an ammonium hydroxide will like you up also.
