I mean I guess tiny tacos with cilantro and small amounts of meat are okay.. if you’re a beta who doesn’t like big hearty meals. I like to eat big plates maybe I’m just crazy

Interesting because authentic Mexican and Salvadorian places here give you chips and salsa.

Yeah and Dallas has taco stands everywhere with authentic tacos.

We get it man, you and everyone in Louisiana are Michelin starred chefs and us in Texas, even those of us who moved from Louisiana, wouldn’t know food if our mommas spoon fed us.

And that changes what exactly? You’re using your experience and that alone to directly say that a state of 27 million people doesn’t know how to cook food and that the average household in a state of 4.6 million can cook better than any restaurant in the state of Texas.

That’s absurd and retarded and you can’t hide behind “that’s my opinion” when you’re speaking as if it’s fact.

Speaking of crappy Mexican food, y’all ever had Agave in Lafayette?? Jesus talk about a poor excuse for Mexican food. It’s tagline is something about Louisiana inspired Mexican food. Shits overpriced and horrible. Locals around there LOVE that place and it’s so bad if you’ve actually had good Mexican

Yeah, I have to get 5 or 6 of them and I like chiles nogada. Again, we usually just cook our own stuff. I've got a family of 6, we don't eat out much like we use to.

La Fonda? Never been, but the locals swear it’s soooo good. Their menu doesn’t look exciting and it’s pricy as hell. I had a buddy from Nola eat there and said it’s overrated. I heard their Margaritas are on point though

Look calm down Jessica. I prefer Louisiana food over eating in Texas which I've eaten at probably over 100 maybe 200 restaurants in Texas over my life. When it comes to food it's based off my opinion, that's the only thing I can base it off. I've already said everything else Texas has Louisiana beat. I obviously can't speak for the 27 million in Texas and 4.6 million in Louisiana or the rest of the country on their taste of food, I can only go by my opinion regarding that.

You can even get in Mexico now, when I use to go down there years and years ago, we never found a restaurant that served chips and salsa. Not saying none did though.

I’m perfectly calm.

You keep saying it’s your opinion after speaking as if it was fact. That’s not how this works.

I’ve eaten at a lot of local spots for Mexican in La and I found superior to be one of the better ones. Little expensive but worth it. The best one in the Lafayette Area IMO is La Hacienda in Broussard. It’s very good

I was asked what do I think Louisiana has better than Texas. And I think food, you don't. It's ok.

I find it hilarious how any and every Louisiana native can cook like Mario Batali but not a single soul in the state can string together a decent enchilada or poblano, of all things

You can get a Xanax of a plate lunch like meal at any stripes gas station and it’s fricking tasty

That goes with out even talking about any taqueria that is going stewed green sauce plates or mole or tamales. Mexican food is many things, light isn’t not one of them.

That is more complicated dishes than Louisiana Mexican restaurants are able to pull off. The basic issue with Mexican in the south east is the tortillas suck.
