reddit link with sound

Sounds has the driver blasting a self help CD at about 120db.

Apparently happened in Louisiana. Guy said he walked away with only some tendon/muscle damage in his ankle. Driver on suspended license.

When he was teaching me to drive my Pops stressed to me,"If it is smaller than a horse, don't swerve." and "No matter what you think, your Burger King order is shite already and it ain't worth wrecking to save it. Just scoop it up out of the floorboard when you get stopped."

I think he would have said the same thing about a damn cell phone.

The self help stuff he was listening to was pretty ironic at the end.

In 2002 I got run over in my front yard by a drunk driver at 4 pm on a Tuesday - the driver had no license - it was his 8th DUI - 67 year old still living with his mother - I was 150 ft from the road - first heard him coming, then turned my head (swivel) and saw him - tried to evade but was working on a hose and tripped - managed to push trunk of my body and head out of the way but he still ran over my legs and rolled me pretty good - thought I was a goner.

Thanks Honest Tune for reminding me - the folks at work starting calling me "roadkill" and that's why I use it for my TD ID -

They really need to be much quicker with removing people's driver license for life. Hell the driving test should be much harder to pass and stricter as well. Driving isn't a right, it is a privilege. Also once you hit like 60, 65, 70, etc you should have to retake the test or prove you are worthy of being allowed to drive.

Glad you’re alive to tell the story, hoss. Crazy how fragile life is. One of LSU’s all time GOAT’s in football was killed in his own yard cutting his grass, Eric Andolsek. A warrior cut down in his prime.

Depends on which morning I'm asked, and not quite 60 yet even (57 soon).

But for your point ... note the driver in OP gif appears to be a wee bit younger than 60. Perhaps the idea of recurrent testing is backwards and it's the young pups need it?

As for another posts idea regarding yanking licensing, note the OP says "driving under suspension". If ya don't have to have a valid license to start the engine and engage the transmission we'll only end up with anarchy on the roads as eventually everyone foregoes ever getting licensed. The odds of any individual getting into trouble over driving w/out a license are very, very, slim atm. Of course scanners like for plate numbers are just really getting off the ground. If databases will compile and collate to alert cops "car x" is owned by unlicensed/suspended person that would possibly put a crimp in some shenanigans. Especially if seizure of vehicles opeerated by unlicensed/suspended are allowed.
