im guessing over the last several years you have hard times among grads of quite a few degrees. yea, there are a lot of them that chose ridiculous degrees. but there are also a lot that chose reasonable professional degrees and if the school was straight up lying about placement numbers and such i could see an argument for suing the school (not for taxpayer bailout)

Why do people assume that any college grad that can't find a decent job majored in something like Art history or Gender Studies?

Read my damn posts retard. I said in my very first one I have no sympathy for anyone who is in debt. I'm simply pointing out how much of a hypocritical asshat you are for lecturing to "millennials" about paying back debt. It's icing on the cake that you specifically mention buying a house, since millions of people your age just decided to stop paying for theirs only 10 years ago.

I'm responsible for only one mortgage. Never missed a payment, never even been close to being late on a payment. And in another 4 years (maybe less) it will be paid back in full.

You see, I used this strange and rare super power called "common sense" (you can Google it as I'm sure you have no idea what this is) when I was shopping for a home to make sure BEFORE I look out a loan that I would be able to repay it.

It appears to come quite naturally to you.

Because it's a hilariously funny joke that never gets old.

And the work it takes to get a mortgage compared to a student loan for tens of thousands of dollars of student loans is so laughably unequal that I'm not going to bother speaking on it anymore.

Crawfish more, dipshit. First it was a brand new phenomenon that only millennials don't pay back loans, and now after getting the red arse your best defense is that older generations did it so much we can't afford it anymore. fricking brilliant.

Extracting yourself from your age group to using personal experiences yet incessantly admonishing an entire generation without any semblance of context... Interesting strategy.

And because those college grads are the one bitching and moaning about not being able to find work and want other people to deal with their debt.

I don't know why you are getting so worked up. According to you, the Russians are about to take over the world, so we won't have anything to worry about.

There are non liberal arts grads that bitch about student loans, but the OT doesn't seem to notice that.

So after generalizing an entire age range of people as being irresponsible, you want to play the unique little snowflake card and say you shouldn't be lumped into the group who defaulted on their mortgage and crashed the economy. Priceless.

Dude needs to take some of his advice and defer to people with more experience in particular areas; his knowledge of macroeconomics makes a doorknob look more informed.

There is nothing that is that simple about the student loan and college cost situation.

Sure there is.

1. People who have student loans repay those loans.
2. Future rising college student actually research student loans and determine if they're worth it. If a college looks to be a bad investment (you do know what that word means, right?) they opt to either go to a different college or perhaps not even go to college and opt for another route. As more students realize that college isn't always worth it and college enrollments drop, natural market forces will force colleges to adjust their prices. The free market will always right itself.

It's not near as complicated as your simple little mind makes it out to be.

Continual insults while doing nothing but looking more like a retard don't really mean much.

Well, students from past generations have been taking out loans for decades. Only now in this generation is there an outcry to forgive them.

And before you accuse me of having the red arse, you should look back at the insult riddled posts you've directed at me. Your arse is as red as a ripe tomato.

Because your generation drove the prices into the stratosphere and made getting loans for the insane costs entirely too simple with little to no explanation of just how big of loans they are.

You didn't live through it, if you even went to college, so you have no fricking clue. But please, go on.
