He came for several assemblies and speeches and such when I was at the high school. He always struck me as a glib, hollow politician based on his speeches, just on a personal level. I don't have particularly strong feelings about his politics.

There are a lot of famous alumni. Probably the one currently with the biggest national recognition is Harry Connick, Jr. Not that it is necessarily a thing to brag about.

They both produce socially awkward kids as pledges. Some literally had to get taught how to speak to women in public. I won't name drop because they lurk on here.

He and Morial came and spoke when I was there. They talked about how racist Jesuit was in the late 70s and early 80s. Everyone, including the teachers, rolled their eyes at those two clowns. Mitch's son was asked to leave for crashing his car and getting a DUI when I was there as well.
