Im sure this thread has been made countless time by numerous people. But hey, a lot of us picked up this dirty habit and feel trapped by it.
I've been telling myself for years I want to quit. Chantix did not help out but rather made me depressed, the e-Cig seemed to have limited uses, and the gum was hit or miss for me. Maybe I should try the patch? Any dietary suggestions?
I know drinking a lot of water helps, and certain foods make cigarettes taste disgusting.

Request a username change to Chantix or Cold Turkey so you're not depressed.
And start dipping.
And start dipping.

Don't have a TD username that is a brand of cigarettes.

Picking a screen name that is not a brand of cigarettes could be a quality start

Every time you feel the need to smoke one, just don't.
100% effective.

Do you really want to quit or is it lip service?
If you really want to quit then put them down. How strong is your will power?

Just stop. Simple as that.

Just quit
Get angry
Still quit
Food tastes better after
Just quit, you have to want to

Satisfy your oral fixation in other ways.

Quit cold turkey. Studies have proven that this is more effective than tapering off of cigarettes.
Ronald Reagan quit smoking, and every time he had a craving for a cigarette he would eat some jelly beans.
Not sure if this is helpful, but maybe finding something to replace that oral fixation would help.
That's all I've got. Good luck
