In the United States, Delta and American Airlines are now banning booze to help slow the spread of COVID-19. I was just starting to get excited at the thought that we can start traveling again and now this bomb is dropped.

American Airlines will limit alcohol and food service. They will not ban it completely. It will depend on the length and destination of the flight, according to CNN. American Airlines will allow passengers in first-class or those on longer international flights to still have access to alcoholic beverages.

Many popular international airlines are also jumping on board with banning alcohol in an effort to reduce the spread of the virus. By doing this, it will reduce physical interaction between customers and employees.

Ban alcohol to .... slow the spread of a virus that is.... killed by alcohol.

lol if the goal is to make airlines compete solely on price then I don't see how American, Delta or United survive. I'll be flying discount when I absolutely have too since they all suck arse.

I flew 4 legs this past week, and they served alcohol in first class on all of them. Everyone got a bag of pretzels and a water bottle and no drink service for coach.

Fun part is I was able to buy then upgrade all 4 legs for 2 people for less than what I was looking at paying for this flight pre covid.

Alcohol has been proven to "kill" the virus.

I have been drinking Tito's non-stop since February and haven't gotten it yet.
