This is probably the best-known instance of traffic lights on an interstate

Except it's not on an interstate. Some stupid writing doesn't make it correct.

Call it what you want....you have to cross that section to continue on I-70. It's a small "gap" in the freeway, but it's designated as I-70.

If you are coming east from Pittsburgh or Columbus, you'd enter the above area on the overpass at right, then make a left hand turn on the left side of the screen at the traffic light.

When the article straight up says you have to exit, I'm not calling it an interstate An interstate by definition doesn't have traffic signals. I'm pretty sure we can all agree with that. Just like I'm sure we can all agree there are several "gaps" in the system that are designated as interstates that don't currently meet the criteria to actually be an interstate. Even though they have signage that says they are interstates, I personally wouldn't refer to those sections as interstates.

Got stuck in real bad Interstate traffic going to the BR airport one morning a few years ago. When I got to the Airline exit, I took it and traveled almost unfettered to the airport....Still though, having train tracks on BR's most important highway just reeks of cow town.

They'll never fix that.

Congressman Graves all but guaranteed that Louisiana would get around $100 million federal grant to fix the Washington street Exit and improve some of the stupidly bad infrastructure in and around the capital area.

The current governor will ensure that not a dime is spent in Baton Rouge. They are widening a rural interstate instead.
