Plus you will always have radiologists. Who is going to get sued - the AI? When they have to testify at a deposition or trail it isn’t like you can just have AI show up.
Have you not heard of the terminator?

Right now there is a massive shortage of radiologists. We are still a LONG LONG way from AI taking over. Could it be 10 years or 30 years? IDK, only time will tell.

Does the AI include “cannot complete exclude (insert horrible shite here)” on benign imagining to prevent lawsuits like the radiologists do.

A simple prompt is all you need. "Give me XYZ data, summarize it, and tell me the page you found it." Then you go back and check to ensure that everything is good.

is this even truly AI? Sounds like a run-of-the-mill computer prompt.

I think what is being missed here AI wise is what is being done on the imaging equipment to help improve readings - automatic calculations and labeling of the anatomy, AI enhanced images and overall speed of the studies.

I sell MRIs, CTs, etc and everything we work on R&D wise is centered around speed and AI.

I mean, do they?

Doctor salaries are mostly incorrect on those sites, as they are heavily skewed by academic and research positions.

Across nearly all specialties, private practice are making much more than those sites will say.

Winner for dumb arse take of the century. One year of trade school?!! Rads go thru med school, residency, plus fellowship for some specialties and require a vast amount of anatomy and pathology knowledge. Reviewing a good radiologists report is fascinating when you’ve actually sat with them and listened to them dictate.

Right, and there are additional specialties within radiology as well.

AI is a tool. Never say never, but it won't replace doctors in our lifetime.
