The slippery slope has nothing to do with morals or sexuality and everything to do with the legal system.

I don't feel it's as cut and dry as you make it.

It's hard to justify AI child porn as being okay in my head.

Victimless crime right? But really so is threatening someone. Threats are illegal. But nobody gets hurt from a threat..

Bad analogy??

I disagree. I have the urge to look at SSBBW porn, but I don't have the urge to bang an SSBBW in real life.

You assume everyone is like you and not a child rapist and murderer though.

Watched a cop video yesterday. 60 year old man abducted a 7 year old little girl at Walmart. Raped her and choked her to death by a creek.

You think he can handle his urges the same way you can? He was later bragging about raping the little girl to his cell mate. They used that as evidence in his trial.

I know this is a lot of thought policing, but it's almost like enabling or normalizing or something...

I just think AI child pornography is never okay I guess.

If you saw an AI video of a man raping a little girl, would you think it's harmless AI or do you feel there's something vert very wring with it.

Could you sit and watch AI child porn? Remember, it's not real.

Of course you can't right? I know I couldn't even though it not real.

I’m trying to NOT make it cut and dry like the other arguments made. I have a best friend who is an attorney, so maybe I hear his legal speak too much.

I’m not at all saying it’s ok to view or possess AI child porn. Morally and ethically, everyone can agree it’s fricked up. But until there are laws on the books to serve as guardrails for AI and everything else it can get involved in, I don’t think it’s right to jail that person.

That’s where I mean it is a slippery slope. Privacy of your own home, technically not breaking a law despite the major red flags.

If you threaten an actual person, then they would be the victim.

I think AI needs to be reined in…a lot. What AI companies allow this to be produced? If you cut the source, then you’re forcing an AI that produces this stuff to the dark web, and it’s probably easier to police and find out who the bad guys are, so to speak.

I will always be on the outside with the view that making, viewing or possessing something not real criminal is very dangerous. How is this different than reading a book? It simply isn’t real.

Gross, perverted and immoral but not illegal.

same here

Those naked baby cupids in renaissance art are porn now?

I have real issues with this

So if someone puts an AI picture of your daughter on a naked body and and bunch of dudes railing her, that’s okay…because it’s not real?
So your line is if it is intended to look like an existing person?

I can jibe with that.

What about a purely fictitious character?

A poster earlier wanted to make this criminal too. In effect, some folks want to police what you can draw, and maybe even what you do with your own art. If what you draw comes from your own imagination, how can that be a crime? Is it any different from closing your eyes and imagining perverse acts?

Yes, it’s perverse, but the only way to police that would be extremely invasive to everyone’s privacy.

I'm sure we can all agree that sexually molesting children is bad and should be prevented at all cost.

At all costs? No. You can't violate the rights of individuals or violate the Constitution, or permit the state to violate laws otherwise.
