I dont Think native Americans are better served by a team called the Redskins

They may not be, but I KNOW they are not better served for others making that decision for them. I will listen to any and every Native American articulate their feelings on the matter. But there is nothing worse than the patronizing silent racism of being offended on another group’s behalf because you think they aren’t smart enough to know when to be offended themselves.

I've said it a few times and I'll say it one more time for the hell of it.

If they really want to get rid of everything associated with slavery, then we need to cancel blues music, rock and roll music (based off blues), jazz (stemming from black roots), and rap (a modern late 20th century take on blues). All of that comes from slave owners allowing the slaves to get together on Sundays and play music in Congo Square in New Orleans. That's where all of that stuff stems from. The concept of playing a drum kit comes directly from that. All the blending of cultures and their percussion coming together as one.

Mrs Butterworth

Somebody please enlighten me on this because I truly do not know. Has Mrs Buttersworth ever had a live actor or person serve as their logo/spokesperson? Or has it always been an Anthropomorphic bottle Of syrup?

Maybe if minorities have tributes of heroes like the Tuskegee Airmen instead of reminders of racial slurs like “Redskins”, it will send the message that their American history is more than just a middling existence as a second-class.

Most people adore the subject of their teams mascot. When white settlers and natives called each other "Redman" and "Pale Face", in face to face peaceful moments, it was just a greeting. They'd probably laugh their asses off at the thought of people being so up at arms about that, when there are so many other things for society to work for.

Are you suggesting the "Washington Tuskegee Airmen"?
