Nobody said it was totally normal. You said it was a slap in your face. How? What are they doing to YOU?
If you had issues having children naturally and these sick fricks did without seemingly too many issues you may have a tad bit of resentment.

A miscarriage, albeit not entirely uncommon, can be considered an issue.
Or is it mistercarriage in this instance? I always get confused.

Am I a bad person for laughing at that?

I agree with you 100%
How in the hell can a fricking NURSE, whose entire job is based on caring for and helping people, agree 100% with publicly executing people for being transgendered and having the temerity to want a child and shooting people who "enable" them?
Do you murder your patients when you get bored at work? Or only the ones who aren't just like you? Or have the nerve to get pregnant when you can't? I hope to God nobody I care about is ever in whatever medical facility you work at. Frankly, you should be fired from your job.

But why resent a couple who wants a child? People are forgetting this couple has two adopted children. That's not an easy or cheap process. So many other people have legally said their parenting is fine.
It's easy to resent others who get pregnant naturally when you can't. Trust me, it's something I struggle with a lot. But, there is nothing that says these two adults won't be perfectly capable loving parents.

You had me agreeing with you here.

Even here.

Disagree with you here. There is a clear mental disorder with said pregnant woman.

I've never seen a thread here with people bitching because the mother or father has a mental illness. So why is this so different.

Because typically those people are shamed by society to begin with.
This is essentially being glorified.
You see the difference no?

But you can't always give a shite what society says or nothing would ever change/evolve.
Doesn't matter either way, I'm obviously in the minority with not giving a frick if a trangendered person had a child.
I was more annoyed with nurse saying how unnatural it was while she is going against nature doing fertility treatments.

To be quite honest, I have a problem with any person w/ a mental disorder procreating. They add nothing to society.

...must check chart...
nothing to see here.... this is a woman and a man. Apparently, this new "transgendered" name is just a mood, mindset, or state of mind type of thing. Kinda like what we used to call a "Tomboy" ...except more of a "Tomboy Deluxe" ...opting for sideburns rather than just spitting like a dude and refusing to wear pink. Some old thing, boy and girl, a few added options, and new name.

Plenty of normal people add nothing to society, have you met Skillet?

LOL, im going to be wise and stay away from that one. I am still relatively new here and do not want the evil eye of Sauron (OT Detectives and Crazies) on me.

HC, I'm with you and your comments on this in this thread.
I think people are quick to discredit what they don't understand. Now, I will say seeing the pic on the front page makes me do a double take because it's not something that you see everyday. I'm sure life for them and living as who they are isn't easy.
Sidenote: I'm one of the more open minded people in my family, my mom/family boycotted Target after the bathroom issues.
ETA: I'm not taking sides on nurse's comments.

They live in Portland, they are probably pseudo-celebrities there.
