You apparently missed a key part of that definition. Like I said, you aren't an expert at rhetoric, especially in light of your argumentation skills.

This explains a lot.

Ties in to two things I saw/learned at the time I was in college in the 1980s.

The first was a study I read about in class in which kids were given a quarter, or a dollar or whatever every day for a given period of time-- a week, a month, don't really recall. Most of the white kids would save their money for something they wanted that they could use for a long time, like a toy or a baseball glove. Nearly all of the black kids would spend their money as soon as they got it --every day-- on candy and comic books-- immediate gratification items.

The other was the movie Out of Africa. In the movie, big game hunter Denys Finch-Hatton (Robert Redford) was talking to Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep) about (IIRC) the Masai, and how their sense of time was different from ours, and that if a Masai was put in jail overnight for something, they would often kill themselves, because they had no sense of the future. They thought that they were locked up in that jail forever, and they couldn't take it.

No doubt this isn't the first time irony is lost on you. Sad!

In the words of the late great Norm Macdonald, that sounds like a bunch of fricking communist gobbledygook.

Well, the future hasn't happened yet. That is a fact.

You can make yourself as busy as you want to be and make tons of money but you still may not wake up tomorrow. Just a fact

Sacrifice is one of the themes of the Bible. The idea that time can be bargained with is one the main things that set Christian and Christian culture apart.

Their decision making definitely points to the fact they don’t think they have a future

your philosophy is that the future isn’t real and that time is created, you are much more likely to act in a way to maximize your personal, material gain immediately rather than make a decision that will benefit people you do not know/haven’t been born yet, in 15-30 years.

Which is what I mean by my earlier comment on their decision making. An example I see often among blacks here in the U.S. is tax refunds. They gladly pay 20-30% of their refund to places like H&R Block in order for the business to pay them the remaining balance of the refund right then and there instead of waiting for the IRS to mail a check for the full amount.

I offered to do my employees taxes for free and send it in so they’d get all the money and every single one refused because they “wanted it now” and left hundreds or thousands on the table which is stupid for a person who makes 12 bucks an hour

It’s limited consciousness with an inability to conceptualize themselves (the “I”) within their mind at a different location and time.

This leads to self-defeating behavior since you won’t delay action to increase the likelihood of a better outcome for yourself.

Probably the War on Drugs,

Your timing is off. Were there any major changes to our entitlements around the 1960s that perhaps encouraged a segment of the population to have more children by more men that you can think of? Anything where the person who conceived and pushed it said "I'll have "them" voting democrat for the next 200 years?" (I said them because the actual quote would get me banned).

I gave you some really good hints.
