Hope that was worth it Tony. You may have just had the exact opposite show that you needed to have.

Weird show that ended strong. THIS is what you should be pushing. This feud between Swerve and Joe. This match is going to be a brawl at Dynasty

Dynamite actually had some good episodes last month, but tonight was hot garbage.

I just saw the clip of the Punk thing on YouTube and have to ask, what exactly did Tony Khan think he was going to do by releasing this lmao? I am genuinely baffled someone this clueless is in charge of a wrestling promotion

Tony Schiavone looked like he hadn’t wanted to crawl under a rock this badly since Hogan and Russo started shooting on each other at Bash at the beach

From a neutral[ish] view: If he thinks they can survive this storm, Tony needs to stretch the booking out to setup Swerve vs MJF at Wembley. If he wants Joe to carry the belt into Wembley, book a triple threat.

Frankly if I'm a Europe diehard wrestling fan, I'd be going to Wembley with a wad of cash to buy things to remember them by. Unless it's too the stadium his dad owns, he can not justify to his father spending money taking this product over there.

With Vince gone the only wrestlers he's getting off WWE are those who TKO doesn't feel are worth the money. Seth, Becky, and Drew's contacts are coming up at a great time for themselves. If Tony can't convince one of them to come over he's out of moves.

He’s not getting any of them. Edge knew he made a mistake the moment he came out for his debut and saw how barren the hard camera side was and it’s only gotten worse since.

But it will continue as long as Shad Khan enjoys the tax write off.

Ospreay needs to be in the World Championship match in London... and frankly he should probably win it

This has to be directed primarily at his own locker room. When Punk put the story out, Tony had to throw a hail mary by releasing the footage. He was dawned either way. If he didn't he'd definitely lose the locker room. He may have lost both his audience and locker room with how this landed. We know Meltzer can now see through the shite.

The only person I don't feel sorry for is Sasha. She can go sit on her arse collecting money from Tony's non-existent TV money. At least she won't be nearly paralyzing other women wrestlers.

They've already sold 40,000 tickets to Wembley this year. Ticket sales will be down from last year and the building is only set up for a little over 50,000 currently, but its still pretty good for a number 2 company that's struggling in the US.

Pretty confident those 3 are staying with WWE. And Tony’s last 3 big free agent signings have done nothing to move the needle. Nothing will change until Tony steps aside.

So what do you do? Use up Joe-Swerve before the winner goes to face Osprey in Wembley? Or have Joe drop to MJF and drop a Swerve-Joe garbage wrestling match as the co-main event?

Watching tonight reminds me of WWF circa 1996 and WCW in the months before Vince bought it. There's just not much there that will pull people in. I guess retirement matches for Jericho and Edge would draw interest but if I'm them, there's no way I agree to that after how Tony handled Sting's retirement match.

I think AEW nudged WWE into this new era. For that wrestling fans should be thankful. It goes to prove that having legitimate competition in Wrestling once in awhile is a good thing.

Tony says it will further the Bucks vs FTR

So what he’s telling me is he can’t tell a good enough story between his two top teams (or so he says) without putting a guy that was in his company but left to go to the biggest wrestling company in the world and one you consider your biggest competitor…..that’s a damn win for Punk and HHH

It's Swerve/Ospreay for the title with Swerve the champion after winning the title next weekend from Samoa Joe... by this time you've somehow pivoted Swerve back to a heel

if both are healthy and active again... you can do MJF/Adam Cole as a co-main... that'll sell

AEW is now copyright striking videos showing the incident between CM Punk & Jack Perry from All In that they themselves aired on Dynamite tonight.

My apologies for the post by post replies baws...

Exactly right. Tonight's stunt gave the WWE locker room The affirmation that Punk was not lying to them. That may be enough for the three FAs to have a conversation with him while they're weighing offers. As I previously said, I feel bad for the ex-WWE wrestlers who believed one thing and then got there to see it was a house of cards. Especially Edge who I think went there to end his career with his lifelong best friend.

I mean it just seems incredibly stupid from every possible angle WWE is as white hot as it’s been in years and Khan just put a spotlight back on something that does nothing positive for AEW. The video pretty much backs up Punk’s story about the entire incident. One of WWE’s most over stars comes out of this smelling like roses while one of AEW’s promising talents looks like a total bitch. And the cherry on top is Khan looks like an even bigger goober claiming he feared for his life during this altercation when there’s 10+ agents/wrestlers right there lol

Even Vince in his extremely senile days would’ve known this was a horrible idea

I totally agree with this. AEW getting hot for a minute there combined with Vince’s bullshite finally letting them rip that bandage off were blessings in disguise to get it to where we are now

oh... some good booking ideas coming out of this on the SRS review show

A) Bucks show up to Chicago for the NJPW show for Jack Perry's match knowing they will all get some serious heel heat

B) Perry is officially reinstated ahead of Dynasty and gets involved somewhere during the show (likely helping the Bucks beat FTR in the tag team championship finals)
