Some districts/counties in the state have already announced they will be cutting back to 4 days a week and potentially rotating days if there are too many children to maintain social distancing in the classrooms.
They are also in the process if learning a new virtual learning system that will be used if parents don't want their children to go in-person. They have announced they are working on sanitation plans and will have a plan on place on the first day.
What more do teachers want, exactly?

As a teacher, my only question is this:
If I get COVID from a kid or get exposed to COVID from a kid and I’m forced to stay home for two weeks, will I be forced to use all my saved up vacation time so I can still get paid? Or will there be some law that protects public service workers from having to use their own vacation time when they are forced to stay home due to no fault of their own and still get paid?
Again, this is my only concern. I WANT TO GET BACK IN MY CLASSROOM LIKE PRE-COVID.

There is a law that protects all workers that get COVID. You will get a paid 2 weeks off. Calm down.

We opening over here August 3rd. Hybrid schedule but opening but planning for virtual or traditional depending on numbers

At my work, all you have to say is you have been exposed to someone that tested positive and you get 2 weeks off.
