my vehicle has a D/C alternator.

Actually, the alternator is a 3-phase AC generator(hence alternator) with a rectifier circuit to convert it to AC.

Hate to break it to you but your vehicle is AC/DC. Remember, the word tranny is an automotive term.

Give me windows rolled down in a car doing 55 for a drive, and make the house have a/c.

Having to sleep in the Louisiana summer with no A/C is an absolute nightmare.

My AC went out once when I was living in Houston. I had to rent a hotel room for two nights to be able to sleep. Is was nauseating being in the house without AC.
